CHRIST IS SALVATION CHURCH

We are located in Thermal, California and we exist to glorify God by showing God's love to each and every person in our local community. We realize that individuals in our community both young and old need help, influence and support. Our goal is that through us our community will experience and have their real needs met, by us providing and giving for their spiritual and physical needs.

To serve our community we have a food pantry that serves our community Monday -Friday. We know people have daily needs, and we know that God desires to meet the real needs for food and meals. We host FREE events to reach out and bless all. Our annual events include Family Fun Festival (October 31st), Thanksgiving Day Feast, Christmas Toy Giveaway, Dia de los Reyes Drive Thru (Three Kings Day), Easter Celebration and Dia Del Niño (Blessing of the Child Day). During the years of pandemic our church did not stop, in fact we adapted to Drive- Thru events to continue blessing our community. At these events we give freely what we have, this includes food boxes, produce, toys, shoes, clothing and more! Testimonials

People come for a box of food and tell us that they are in need, that if it were not for our church's food ministry program, they would not have food. They are thankful that God is providing. At our events where we give toys there are families who say they would not have had "Christmas" if they had not come. Our goal is to be a blessing to our community and to give to as many people as possible.

Community Events: In we 2025 we hosted several community events, here are a few: Community Toy Giveaway on January 11, 2025, Celebrating the One Who Gives Life Event on November 1, 2025, and Thanksgiving Luncheon on November 27, 2025. At these events, families were blessed with $100,000+ worth of toys, 100+ turkeys, 5,000 hot meals and grocery gift cards. Furthermore, during the summer we held our annual VBS and blessed the children and youth with backpacks full of back-to-school supplies. 

Ministerial Outreach: Throughout 2025, our ministries remained active in serving beyond the walls of our church. This year, we established a Prisoners Outreach Program named “Freedom in Christ,” expanding our mission to reach those often forgotten and offering hope, encouragement, and spiritual support. Our Youth Ministry had three mission trips on February 22, 2025, June 7, 2025, and October 18, 2025. During these mission trips, our youth blessed an impoverished community known as the Ladrillera in Mexicali, Baja California, with 500+ bags of food, over 800 hot meals, hygiene baskets, and toys. Through these experiences, our youth served and prayed for families in need, shared the Gospel, and deepened their faith. In April 27, 2025, and December 14, 2025, our Awana Ministry organized visits to Valencia Palms Nursing Home. The Awana Ministry children shared songs, scriptures, love, and laughter with the elderly residents, a powerful reminder that the elderly are a blessing and a vital part of the church. Lastly, our on-campus Food Bank opened its doors the whole year and gave away over $850,000 worth of food.
