"To serve those in need by sharing the saving grace of Jesus Christ through the provision of food, shelter, clothing and spiritual recovery."

Coachella Valley Rescue Mission opened in 1971, originally starting as a soup kitchen for men only, and in 1983 added programs for women and children. CVRM currently houses 150 men, women, and children in resident programs and provides emergency overnight services to 75 to 100 additional individuals nightly. CVRM's current family shelter accommodates 14 women and 28 children fleeing domestic violence and trafficking. To accommodate the the growing number of women and children seeking services at CVRM, we are expanding the Women's and Children's Shelter, due to be completed by April 2025. This expansion will add 10 rooms for an additional 60 beds for women and children. The new Women's and Children's shelter will provide a safe and secure environment for the families experiencing domestic violence, to escape abusive situations and receive support services. The women and children receive medical and behavioral health treatment first, including counseling.
