THERESA A. MIKE SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

A nonprofit organization

The Theresa A. Mike Scholarship is organized for the purpose of recognizing the talent of young adults who are interested in furthering their education; who have a dedication to themselves and the betterment of the communities in which they live.

The Theresa A. Mike Scholarship Foundation (TAMSF) is a needs-based scholarship program dedicated to supporting students in Native American communities across the United States, as well as Non-Native American students from the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin in California. Each year, TAMSF proudly awards over 70 scholarships to deserving, qualified applicants. This achievement is made possible through the unwavering dedication of our organization and the generosity of donors like you.

Our scholarships benefit a diverse group of students annually. Many applicants face unique challenges and financial barriers to pursuing higher education, and TAMSF strives to assist as many of them as possible. We understand that each student's journey is different, but their commitment to education is a common thread. By supporting TAMSF, you join us in empowering hardworking and exceptional students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, or trade school programs. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on their futures.

Testimonials

"I am honored to have been selected for this scholarship and I humbly accept this generous award. As I embark on my journey in healthcare, I recall the life experiences that have motivated me up to this point, I look back to my mother's ongoing fight with cancer. Throughout the uncertainty and fear, my mother always recalled a kind nurse by her side. Now, I am studying to become that nurse for others. Like the Theresa A. Mike Scholarship Foundation, I strive to turn my mother's tragedy into support for others, especially for those that come from marginalized backgrounds. As a future healthcare professional, it is part of my mission to reduce healthcare stigma in BIPOC communities through cultural understanding and ensure they have access to educational, preventive care" - Jason D. (Scholarship Recipient).

"As a Lakota, Tongva, and Chigana woman, I chose to pursue higher education for my relatives who never had the opportunity, my animal and plant relatives who do not have a voice, and the future generations. My work is dedicated to them" - Jade L. (Scholarship Recipient).
