Revolution Stage Company

Revolution Stage Company develops new work, both plays and musicals, while using the desert's immense pool of talent to reinvent classic shows, making Palm Springs a true 'theatre destination' not only in Southern California, but in the country. We're determined to cultivate new audiences who find going to shows cost-prohibitive, using marketing techniques from Broadway here in the Coachella Valley. We present multiple performances all week, sometimes eleven in one week, four in one day.

The Revolution Stage Company is a non-profit organization. Owner Gary Powers worked on Broadway and Off for over three decades before moving to Palm Springs. Oregon native James Owens in Gary's producing partner. We're dedicated to making Palm Springs' theatre productions similar to what one would see in L.A., San Diego, Pasadena or even in NYC. We'll nurture and develop new work, plus present classic shows using the finest talent in the desert. We hope to create a tickets booth in downtown Palm Springs so those coming here to vacation will be able to purchase tickets from every theatre in one location. On the day of the show, unsold seats can be offered at discounted rates. We'll create a DNA (Develop New Audiences) program, similar to the Theatre Development Fund in NYC, making tickets available at low prices to create new audiences of theatre goers. The RSC stage will host shows seven days a week, presenting cabaret shows, jazz performances, stand-up comedy in addition to plays and musicals in a 150 seat venue which has a full-service liquor bar, along with an ice cream bar. We are determined to make Palm Springs a true 'theatre destination.' As a new company, we are in great need of donations and support.
