Variety Children's Charity of the Desert

In 1987 Variety Children's Charity of the Desert is dedicated to promoting the health, mobility, independence and social inclusion of children who are at-risk, underserved, critically ill, or living with special needs in the Coachella Valley. Through best practices and professional stewardship, we operate four core programs which​ deliver vital services to children who are underserved or living with special needs.

• Freedom Program: Offers adaptive bikes, Bikes for Kids, and other mobility solutions
to foster independence and social inclusion.
• Future Program: Focuses on education, self-esteem, and recreation through initiatives
like Art from the Heart and adaptive sports.
• Care Program: Provides life-saving medical equipment and healthcare services,
including early intervention and autism resources.
• Outreach Program: Recently launched with a dedicated Case Manager, this program
connects families to essential resources, referrals, and ongoing support to meet their
unique needs.
