Every year our Impact Partners and sponsors donate prize money to celebrate the nonprofits that power CV Giving Day.
Prizes add spark and friendly competition to our 24-hour campaign — from early-bird bonuses to leaderboard rewards and creative spotlights.
All prize funds go directly to the winning nonprofits. No fees. No catches. Just impact.
Prize Categories
Two nonprofits will be randomly selected at the kickoff. Each wins $5,000.
Eligible: attend the kickoff and complete registration by January 26, 2026.
Who’s Eligible
To qualify for CV Giving Day prizes, organizations must:
- Be a registered 501(c)(3) with an approved CV Giving Day profile.
- Serve or demonstrate measurable impact within the Coachella Valley.
- Be actively participating on CV Giving Day (campaign running on the event platform during the 24-hour period).
- Meet any category-specific rules (for example, Kickoff Attendance prizes require event attendance and Jan 26 registration).
- Receive a minimum of 10 unique donors during the CV Giving Day period where applicable (some sponsor prizes may waive or vary this threshold).
- Ensure donation and organization data are accurate and complete prior to prize verification.
Prize Verification & Distribution
All prizes are reviewed and verified by the Desert Community Foundation and our sponsors following the close of CV Giving Day. Here’s how it works:
Winners announced: Week of March 10, 2026
Funds distributed: Within 30 days of verification
The Foundation reserves the right to adjust or revoke prizes in cases of duplication or ineligibility (incomplete profiles, etc).
Why We Celebrate Prizes
Prizes aren’t about competition — they’re about celebration.
They motivate our Agents of Impact, recognize creative campaigns, and keep the Valley buzzing from sunrise to midnight. They’re our way of saying thank you for showing up, rallying your community, and making local generosity contagious.
