📝 How do we register our organization?

Easy! Head to For Nonprofits → Registration and fill out your organization profile. You’ll upload your logo, add your mission statement, and set your fundraising goals for 2026. Registration opens November 11, 2025 and is hosted on Mightycause, our official giving platform.

🎒 What’s inside the Nonprofit Toolkit?

Everything you need to look like a pro — even if you’re a team of volunteers.The Toolkit includes ready-to-use:

• Social graphics and banners

• Sample emails and press templates

• Peer-to-peer fundraising guides

• Campaign planning checklists

Use them, tweak them, make them yours. Your marketing department will thank you (even if it’s just you).

🏆 What are the Prize Rules?

Visit the Prize Rules page for eligibility details, timelines, and payout schedules.Most prizes require a minimum number of unique donors, and prizes are verified after the event by Desert Community Foundation. Prizes are fully funded by our Impact Partners, so if you win — you truly win.

🤝 Do we have to do peer-to-peer fundraising?

Not mandatory — but highly recommended.Peer-to-peer fundraising lets your board, volunteers, and supporters rally their own networks. It’s one of the best ways to reach new donors and earn those prize bonuses.

⏰ When does Early Giving start?

February 3, 2026.It’s your warm-up window before the big day. Use it to post, email, and schedule gifts early. Momentum builds fast once the Valley starts giving.

💰 How are prizes verified and distributed?

After CV Giving Day wraps on March 3, Desert Community Foundation verifies all prize categories. Funds are distributed within 30 days, and winners are spotlighted on our site and socials. You’ll get an email with your results and next steps.

💡 How can we encourage donors to cover fees? 

When donors check out, they can choose to cover the small processing fee. Gently remind them: covering fees means 100% of their donation goes to your mission. You can include this line in your thank-you messages and posts — donors actually love knowing that detail.
